This is one of the most simple and delicious meals I've tried in a while. I didn't think it could taste so good since there were only a few ingredients, but I was wrong. My sister had it at an enrichment night so thanks to her and Kristy, we have this recipe. The beef roasts are on sale at Smith's this week through next Tuesday for $1.79lb so mine cost me $4. If you have enogh money this week, buy a couple and freeze one for later. Although I would usually buy buns, there is the nice crusty LaBrea french bread on sale at Albertson's for $1.50 with a $1 off coupon for 2 loaves at this link: http://www.labreabakery.com/offers.aspx , or try using the french bread recipe posted below.
Fabulous French Dip Sandwiches

3 lb Beef Roast
3 cups water
1/2 cup soy sauce (I like the low sodium kind)
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 large bay leaf (or 2 small ones)
Place roast in a slow cooker and rub fresh ground black pepper all over...no salt. Slowly add in all the rest of the ingredients. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 hours. I stuck it in at 7am and it was ready at 5pm. Remove bay leaf and all fat. Shred and put on sandwiches and serve with 1/2 cup of it's own juice in a bowl for dipping. (I had a 2 1/2 pound roast and it made 8 sandwiches)

Wendy, My email address is rikkileeusu@yahoo.com I don't know exactly when I'm having the baby. But well see.
That sounds good. Now if I would just take the time to cook, Michael would love me for that recipe.
hmmm, I bet your sister is awesome!
